One year's celebrations to mark the centenary of the birth Chandra

Staff WRITER 17: 50 HRS IST New Delhi, Oct 17 (PTI) scientists are planning one year's celebrations to mark the centenary of the birth of the famous physicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, who won the Nobel Prize for its asove study of the evolution of stars.

Scientists throughout the country have developed plans to remember that the famous "blue of India" by holding discussions, symposia and science promotion initiatives for the year beginning on 19 October, the anniversary of the prize.

Born on October 19, 1910, Chandrasekhar is considered among the most astrophysicists of the 20th century, as one of the first scientists to combine the study of physics with astronomy.

Chandra x-ray Observatory, as it is known that there was no cap on the mass of a white dwarf (dead star).
